Swedish students of sign language interpreters from Önnestad (the south of Sweden) just visited the Swedish spreadthesign team at their office. A nice study visit with a lot of happy faces!
Meeting in Ukraine
And now a catching up meeting in Ukraine! This year they will reach the level of 15.000 videos. Wonderful to feel the spring and warmth from everybody!
Meeting in Belarus

Bobbie and the UK team has been a part of Spreadthesign since the start in 2006. They are a cheerful and really hard working team!
Meeting in Sweden
Spreadthesign had a meeting in Malmö, Sweden in December of 2015. A great meeting with lots of smiles (as usual). We were happy to meet our new partners, France and Croatia!
During the meetings we talked a lot about how we will continue to do our quality controls. The development of our app was also discussed. We look forward to seeing each other again at the next meeting!
Visit from Croatia
We have a new partner in Spreadthesign! Welcome, Croatia! The Croatian team is visiting Sweden to record (a lot of) videos for Spreadthesign. They are working hard in the studio. Good job, Nives and Lea!

Estonian team – winners!
Winner of the award of the European Language Label!
Adding the Estonian and Estonian Sign Language to the Spread the Sign dictionary has just been announced a winner of the award of the European Language Label (ELL).
The ELL is an award encouraging new initiatives in the field of teaching and learning languages, the rewarding of new techniques in language teaching, and spreading the knowledge of languages’ existence, thereby promoting good practice.
Every year, the ELL is awarded to the most innovative language learning project in each country participating in the scheme. By supporting these projects, at a local and national level, the ELL seeks to raise the standards of language teaching across Europe.
The official award ceremony will be held on the 21st of November at a big foreign language teachers`conference in Tartu, where the STS dictionary will also be introduced to a wider range of Estonian public.
Meeting in Spain
During a hot period we had a final project meeting in Madrid, Spain in June 2015. The European Commission paid us a visit and we got an opportunity to show them the massive work it takes to translate between the different languages we use during our meetings – to include us all, both deaf and hearing.
Besides the meetings we also went to the deaf association and got to see a theatre play by deaf actors.
